Savvy Sisters was created because I, a 30-something-female, was fed up with the lack of financial knowledge women are accustomed to.

I grew up in a household where my father handled the finances, to this day, my mother still struggles to use a bank card. The theme of women taking a back seat when it comes to money and finances is something I’ve lived with throughout my life, including my 10 years in corporate finance.

I saw time and time again the lack of opportunities for women, and the less chance of them having the education and knowledge to manage their own finances, let alone work in the finance industry.

This is changing now, and I am determined to help it. I’m aiming to build a community, where women feel empowered to manage their own finances and grow their own money.  A sister-hood of financial pals, where we talk about growth and improvement, not about other people. We deserve a seat at the financial knowledge table, and if not, we’ll build our own.

Join me on your financial journey, as I also build my own. I am not an accountant, I am not a financial advisor, I am just another 30 something female navigating the depths of personal finance, pulling on my professional financial experience plus my own education that I am building day by day. By sharing my knowledge with others, the goal is we can all shine.
